Schools Celebrate Earth Day

April 14, 2016

Voting for Kent County’s Earth Day Challenge is open until Sunday, April 17! The winner will be announced Friday, April 22 – Earth Day! Please take a look at the great entries we received from schools in Kent County.

Kindergarten – 5th graders were challenged to make a piece of art that uses recycled items and each entry had to include at least one paper towel or toilet paper tube. The students learned about the importance of reducing and reusing as well as recycling. These projects will be featured this summer at the Kent County Recycling & Education Center during our ‘open hours’ on Mondays from 1-5pm. The school with the most votes will receive special recognition from Kent County for their entry.
